New Colleen’s owners stay true to shop’s traditions, while adding their own flair

For 30 years, Colleen Hallisey ran Colleen’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe, a Medford Square institution that was as well-known for its loyal customer base and friendly staff as it was for its banana splits and lunch specials.Hallisey passed away in early 2018, and it took roughly a year for new owners to officially take over the shop.
